In 1997-1998 K. Th. Petsios taught at the University of Thessaly as a scientific associate, and in 1998 he was elected a Lector of History of Philosophy at the Section of Philosophy of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology in the University of Ioannina. In 2003 he was elected as an Assistant Professor; in 2005 he was tenured at the said post and in 2007 he was elected an Associate Professor, in the field of History of Philosophy : Ancient and Modern Greek Philosophy.

The courses he has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level are “Introduction to Philosophy”, “Ancient Greek Philosophy”, “Social and Political”, “Logic”, “Modern and Contemporary Philosophy”, “Modern Greek Philosophy”, “Greek Philosophy and European Culture”. From 1998 to 2003 he taught “Philosophy of Education” at the School of Paedagogical and Technological Education of Ioannina.
